There are many benefits of a good night sleep. The main benefits of good sleep is of course that you do not have to walk around and feel tired. But there are many other ancillary benefits, here are some:

1. You'll be smaller- sleep deprivation increases appetite.
2. You are getting smarter - well rested, you get easier to concentrate and solve problems that require innovation and creativity.
3. You will look better - sleep deprivation depletes facial elasticity, which makes you look pasty ut. 
4. To reduce the risk of colds - having enough sleep will make your immune system work better.
5. To reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease - bad sleep raise blood lipids.
6. To reduce the risk of diabetes - lack of sleep makes the insulin work less well, so that glucose levels are raised.
7. You are less likely to have accidents - when you are tired you react slower.
8. You become happier - a lack of sleep gives depressed mood, eventually increase the risk of depression.

How to fall asleep?
Many find it particularly difficult to sleep after waking up at night. When you do not sleep good your brain gets alerted and your metabolism increases and so a vicious cycle is started. You should instead lower the body's speed and bring down the metabolism. A good trick is to drink a glass of cold water, it lowers the body's core temperature. And avoid the lights at night!
